Difference between SUB and USBc.

Excellent service, the goods were dispatched promptly. However, I didn't know anything about the difference between standard USB and USBc and learned it the hard way trying to use it. So I sent it back and ordered a standard USB adapter.

USB-C Displayport for 4K video on Macs

This adapter looks a lot like an Apple without the $50 price tag. It works great on newer Macs with USB-C ports. It could be Mac OS Catalina, but using an HDMI cable or adapter on Macs won't produce a 4k picture no matter what. So you have to buy this.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Some complications

Works great with my MacBook.

My old mini displayport/thunderbolt connector worked fine on my old Mac. I had a USB-C to Thunderbolt connector and figured I could hook up the daisy chain dongles. It did not work. That's why I chose this subtle design. Works perfectly. No problem with my new Macbook Pro pixeling on the HP ZR30w monitor.

Oculas Rift works great

If you're looking for a way to get your Oculas Rift to work on your laptop or just another screen, this could be the solution. On one condition, make sure your USB-c (lighting) port is also a DisplayPort compatible port. For example, there is a dp 1.4 icon next to my laptop. I plugged it in and it worked great! Check your specs on your laptop to see but this is a great solution

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

  • Not sure

Works as advertised

I needed this adapter to connect a second display (LG 27" 4K Display) to a 27" iMac via a DisplayPort with Thunderbolt 3. I'm happy to report that the adapter is just what I needed to use advanced display settings to better customize iMac Retina settings. While waiting for the Benfei adapter to arrive, I used the HDMI adapter for the Thunderbolt 3 connection, knowing that the second display setting was limited to that connection. How happy I was when the Benfei adapter arrived! The display…

Pros
  • Always excited
Cons
  • I'm silent

Works with Oculus S and ASUS ROG Zephyrus S

I bought my son a gaming laptop with a GTX 1070 GPU specifically because it was VR ready. I ended up buying an Oculus Rift S and found that the gaming laptop supports Display Port but doesn't have an actual DP connector. The DP functionality was implemented via USB-C Thunderbolt. We found this adapter at Revain with mostly positive reviews. I ordered and tried. It didn't work at first, but we unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked great. I haven't used it much myself, but my son uses
