I bought my son a gaming laptop with a GTX 1070 GPU specifically because it was VR ready. I ended up buying an Oculus Rift S and found that the gaming laptop supports Display Port but doesn't have an actual DP connector. The DP functionality was implemented via USB-C Thunderbolt. We found this adapter at Revain with mostly positive reviews. I ordered and tried. It didn't work at first, but we unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked great. I haven't used it much myself, but my son uses it all the time with his Oculus Rift S without any complaints whatsoever. Good adaptor. does what it says
