Connect to your computer, done, great!

This just worked, hooked up to my Dell Precision 7750 and it just works. Monitors, network, USB. Everything works perfectly.

Doc died after 3 months

Initially the dock was fine. Quite expensive just to be able to connect displays and a mouse/keyboard. Adapters can be a more economical solution. After 3 months my docking station died, I could not guarantee the product through Dell as it was not purchased through them. The seller offered a partial refund but also couldn't guarantee the item.

Too expensive for too few features

For a $300 product, the dock lacks ports. I tried this with a Dell Precision and two additional monitors connected to the display ports, and it worked at 1440 vertical resolution (which no other inexpensive USB-C hub could match). However, when I connected to an HP laptop, the two extra monitors dropped to 480 lines! (Actually, an inexpensive USB-C hub works just fine on this 1440-row hub.) Another problem: I connected a third monitor to the HDMI port and it didn't see it at all!

Can't your Dell 4k Thunderbolt 4 laptop work with your Dell Thunderbolt Dock?

It was not possible to get this Dell Thunderbolt Dock to work with the new Dell 4k Inspiron 7506 2n1 laptop. Specifically to get them to work with an optional external 4k monitor. Worked with two different Dell consultants on two different (replacement) docking stations. He gave up and sent them both back. If I connect the HDMI cable directly to the laptop, everything is fine. I even tried connecting a Displayport to HDMI cable to a Thunderbolt dock. So I sent everything back and if I get…

Will not charge Dell G-series laptops

This review is for the G7 7500 laptop. Dell support informed me that this docking station will charge my G7 laptop. This will NOT charge the G7 and I suspect it will not charge a G series laptop. I suspect this limitation is related to the graphics card power requirements (I have an RTX 2070 MQ) and could be an issue with any laptop that is gaming -Graphic card, not only for Dell. At every boot when this dock is connected to my laptop I get the message "Your port is not Accepting Power" which…
