    Not good value. best radio

    Not much better than UV-5R. The programming is the same. An additional battery cannot be found. I had to use chirp with uv-5rtp software. UV-5r cable works. I had Windows 10. I was able to get it working with Twitter after finding the Baofeng UV-5RTP. Software. How painful

    A way to keep in touch with family and friends.

    The radio is easy to use and affordable. The sound is great and it comes with all the accessories you need to program your radio. I love that it comes with an extra battery and programming guide. Many Thanks

    Very important! best in radio

    What do you not like? It's a UV-5R with tons of accessories at a good price. Programming cable, long antenna, two batteries and an external microphone. Is it Kenwood, Icon or Yeasu? No it's not, but for $42 it will do what you want. Both batteries are of good quality, hold their charge well and last as long as they should.

    Keep Shopping Radio Junk

    Junk, radios don't stay connected to the signal so it breaks when someone is talking. Because of this problem, scanning can be used, basically everything you hear is static. No one is impressed, it also took forever to figure out what you gave to go to another website to code it, nothing but a rush from day one. Save money and get a better radio

    Do Not Buy This Product! I bought one, it wasn't picking up any frequencies just static, I followed the setup instructions in the manual and downloaded the software from the website provided and my computer was hacked. To access the downloadable software, you must disable all network security devices. This is a scam, do not buy this product. The port information they offer to connect doesn't even exist on Windows platforms. I'm just lucky because the computer I use to download these programs…

    Decent radio: Radios

    Decent HT for the money. it is advertised as 8 watts, but the manual says 4 watts. I haven't run any performance tests, but it seems to be working. Very good, the construction seems pretty good. The battery is proprietary so no uv5r extended batteries are used. but I'm sure Tidradio will do it eventually, if not already. I've always been impressed that the standard battery pack includes a side charging port. Extended uv 5 r batteries I consider it a disservice that prevented the USB charging…

    Economical radio with excellent VHF performance

    Reading the specs this seemed like a great backup for my BFF8HP. I was dismayed as both the manual and the Odmaster app said it only had 2 power levels but the radio and my meter showed it had 3. The antenna was good on VHF but had a very long range on UHF. This is fine for some frequencies, but for hams at 70cm I would consider a narrower band option. The USB charger was really handy and very portable. The bluetooth programmer turns it into a great travel radio as it is very easy to add…

    Great radio! Easy programming with TIDRADIO Bluetooth programmer (mobile phone, no PC needed!)

    This radio is amazing! I saw the Baofeng UV-5R TP (which has the same features as this radio) and got more for less! I have a speaker/microphone with a talk button, programming cable, spare battery, charger and belt clip! I tested the programming and was able to program the H-777/BF888/RT21 (early model), RT21/RT22 and other standard frequencies and got 5 different radios in one. We recommend! Save over $20 on extras alone! The radio is even smaller than the smaller models like the H-777/BF888.
