I think I saw somewhere that these gloves were made for TIG welding. I use them for MIG welding as they offer very good dexterity and are heavy enough to handle this heat.
I use them for TIG, MIG and even plasma cutting. Keep your hands/wrists well protected by doing all three exercises. Depending on how much MIG welding I do, I may swap out my left glove for a heavier one. But having it for my trigger hand is key (so much more control). I will buy more if needed.
I was looking for a thinner glove that could be used for grinding and cutting and that would protect my forearms as I don't wear long sleeves in summer. These gloves are great. Thin so I have dexterity, I have decent hearing resistance, they're nice and soft but durable. The only complaint I have is that the thumb of the glove on my right hand is 3/4 inch longer than the other. I have normal male hands/fingers so this looks like a sewing or pattern error.
