SIM Compatibility Check

This product did not work with my Verizon SIM card. When Verizon contacted them, they said they had never heard of the product and weren't sure they could offer adequate advice on a solution. They said that Verizon's SIM cards were proprietary and would only work in phones. It is therefore advisable to ask your provider whether your SIM card is "own".

Works as intended for network cards

I bought this to apply firmware updates and test mini PCIe LTE modules. I've used this successfully with Quectel modules on Windows 10. At the time of writing, the kit also included a small screwdriver and screws.

I use these on my Quectel EC-25s and they work fine. Use a good quality USB 3 cable if you want to expand the installation location. Don't be stingy because if you use an inferior cable, it will turn off randomly.

Works on network cards

The adapter is well made and functional. Note that this is not a USB to mini PCIe converter. It connects a USB component of something like a WiFi card, which is Bluetooth but not WiFi. It is designed for cellular modems.
