🔧 High-Performance 203FF Pilot Bearing by Timken Review

Timkin bearings have always been my favorite brand. I needed one for a body slide on my truck that caused the outer clip to break. It was the original bearing and it fit just like the original. Should last another 14 years.

This bearing is used in many idler pulleys and pulleys. I buy them multiple times because they usually fail and it's cheaper to replace a bearing in a pulley for $20-30 than the entire pulley.

Bearings in 2003 Subaru Outback replace belt tensioners and idler pulleys for a fraction of the cost of new pulleys from a dealer (who doesn't just sell bearings). Very easy operation with minimal hand tools. No actual press required, just use washers and a screw.

Used to convert a 1G 100A alternator from a 1989 F250 Diesel. This bearing is held in place by three set screws, simply remove these, pop the bearing out with a light tap, insert this and refit the set screws. After 3 minutes - a new bearing. Fits perfectly, works great.

After 180,000 miles the fan idler pulleys on my Ford Lightning 03 started making a little noise. Rather than swap out the pulleys, I simply replaced the bearings in them with these. They work great and are made in the USA. I recommend them if you need a 40mm x 17mm x 12mm double sealed ball bearing.
