Globalization. Heavy Duty & Commercial Vehicle Suitable Parts

Many years ago, Timken was made in the USA. Today one is from South Korea and the other one I don't know but at least his bottom bracket is SKF from Spain. This is globalization.

Now made in CHINA in Heavy Duty Axles & Parts

CAUTION MADE IN CHINA Bought from Autozone, box shows no country of origin but bearing ring is stamped CHINA. Seems like "Timken" is just a hallmark of the same crap everyone has, sad day.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty & Commercial Vehicle Parts
Cons
  • Crumpled

Screws directly to default.

Bolted directly and completely to my stock Jeep Cherokee 89 (Dana 30/4wd). No mods or fuss required. Requires at least a 1/2" drive, 36mm hex socket to remove the spindle! Air came the next day and really saved my bacon!

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Only available in white

Looks like original bearings, lasted 30 years.

Well made, looks the same as the original wheel bearings. I was a bit disappointed that the bearing ring didn't have the "Timken" stamp as the original. However, if these are twice as long as the originals, the Jeep will be 45 years old.

Pros
  • Axle Bearings and Seals
Cons
  • No

Big improvement over stock but not made in the USA.

These hub bearings are made in Korea. Or maybe just a Korean-made cast housing and real Timken bearings. But as soon as I change them, they make my truck a lot quieter. So if you hear a noise that gets louder when you accelerate or turn, this is your solution.

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
