Not made by Timkin Best in Heavy and Commercial Vehicle Equipment

This is a repackaging of an NTN brand bearing used by the OEM. Timkin doesn't make them. Cheaper than the dealer, but given that the front wheel bearing often fails on the G35x, it's probably a good thing that it's cheap.

Pros
  • Heavy and Commercial Vehicle Equipment
Cons
  • Not sure

Exact replacement for 2004 G35X Front R/L

I have yet to find the hub assembly so you will need a front wheel bearing puller and a press. Expect about 4-5 hours of work to replace this end to end in your garage. Lots of YouTube videos will show you how to do it. I will always work with Timken because I only want to do this job once!

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Tires, Wheels and Hubs
Cons
  • Some bugs

It only gets 4 stars because I ordered the Timken.

It only gets 4 stars because I ordered a Timken BM50001 but received NTN which is the same as OEM/Nissan. It was even in a Timken box. Both are very high quality, I have no complaints about the bearing itself, but it loses a star because next time someone can get a cheaper brand than NTN.

Pros
  • Wheel hubs and bearings
Cons
  • Cleanliness

CHINESE SIGN SOLD AS TIMKEN

I ordered this for my wife 05 G35X. I received the part on January 18th and installed it the following weekend. When I pressed the hub onto the bearing, I inspected the bearing and didn't see any markings that would indicate a quality bearing. No NTN camp. Looked CHINESE. Well I decided to let it run anyway and lo and behold it started to fail. I am writing this on February 10th and am also looking for other bearings to replace this one. I have also contacted TIMKEN and am waiting for a reply…
