Out of Service: Tire & Wheel Care

Was hoping this would work but don't waste your money. Following the instructions, I cleaned the tire with acetate and began painting over it. I ended up with an outline and the tip started clogging and not releasing any color. According to the second letter, there is no painting, just smearing. It will take hours and probably a dozen pens to complete this. It just doesn't spread well and is no different than a drawing pencil you can buy at a craft store. SUCH A WASTE.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Not Bad

If you want it to stay on your tires and look good despite regular driving, you need to clean your wheels regularly and reapply the paint as it wears off after a short time. However, while it's still on, it's looking pretty good. Make sure you clean the wheels well with paint thinner or acetone before applying the paint if you want it to hold up a bit better.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Negative gift

Good product! but color is color.

Great product for what it is! I will definitely follow the instructions and the result will be good. In the photos, the white text "Dunlop Qualifier" was on the tire from the factory and I painted "Metzeler Tourance". I was able to draw both sides of the rear wheel with a pen and didn't feel like I was leaking at all. From a distance the color looks very nice, up close maybe a good artist (but not me) could do better. Follow my bike on Instagram #BonnieTheVille #BonnieTheVilleProject

Not bad at all for what it is.

First, my Acura Legend 95 is a typical car that doesn't have white lettering on the tires. However, I go to a lot of car meetings and people tell me that the tire ink makes my Legend a little more noticeable/brighter. Not a bad product when used properly and puts a slight smile on your face when looking at an old car after doing an utterly tedious job. Bottom line, the Tire Ink Pen gets the job done. It's not perfect and to be honest I really have no idea what can be done to make a betterโ€ฆ

Pretty good tire ink

Feedback on this product has been mixed. I was a bit skeptical at first, but bought some pens. I really wanted my FX45 to have some sort of lettering and didn't need a stick on the template just in case I had a flat tire and needed to replace or reattach the template on a new tire. Thought it would be the golden mean. As I installed the grip on my tires, I began to experience what one reviewer said about premature wear on the grips. First let me state that it is best to put grips on tires whenโ€ฆ

Great product you have to know how to use it very easy

hey to be honest i don't know all the negative reviews about you maybe just incompetent to be honest? I've been using this tire paint on my car for almost 6 years and only had to touch it up after the winter. What the instructions don't tell you (which you should know anyway) is the temperature, it has to be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit or the ink won't flow. When you open the package, the tip can be changed to a round tip (works much better) and you don't have to refill and shake first. Youโ€ฆ
