Works great, paint washes off very easily

From the photos I couldn't tell if it was nylon coated like tool handles or just painted. It's freshly painted and the paint is chipping very easily, but it does the job and keeps the caliper piston out of the way when you're working on the brakes. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Negative impression

Brake calipers need your help

Handy thing if you do your brake work yourself. This saves your brake lines from unnecessary damage by supporting the weight of the caliper. I hooked mine directly to the strut mount, worked fine. Better/more convenient than using a bungee cord or inverted bucket.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Can't believe I didn't purchase all those years ago

I've been using hangers, zip ties and balancers for years. I've seen them and they make working with the brakes a lot easier! One trick - never just leave them connected to the car. Then either connect it to the brake caliper or to the floor/tool trolley - so you don't forget anyone on the car :).

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works, I use it for other things around the house

I've needed strong hooks like this for a long time. Bought it and am very happy. Aside from the brakes I've used them to hang IV bags, hoses, bags etc around the house and they do a great job on a lot of things. Well worth the money (because they're not exactly expensive).

Pros
  • Delightful
Cons
  • Communication with seller

So nice to use. Best in Parts

This is great. Yes, bungee cord does the same thing, but once you've used it, you won't want to use it again. I borrowed it from a colleague when I was making a wheel bearing and when I returned it to him I ordered it for myself and another colleague asked me to order a set for him. They are really good and do their job very well.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • So far so good

Required for working with brake pads

Strong. I couldn't bend the red ribbon with my bare hands when I tried. I'm tired of using miserable, bent hangers to hang up calipers. I'm almost looking forward to my next disc brake job to use these mounts. At $5 ($2.50 each) a great set. For use on my GM Lumina Euro, Grand Prix and Regal. The Silverado caliper should also be fine. Recommend.

Pros
  • handy article
Cons
  • old

get it now You may not need them, but you should still have them.

They are great for holding calipers when working on the brakes. It's so easy to hook up the spring and caliper. They even give you 2 so you can work on both sides at the same time. They really give you peace of mind that everything is secure and will not fall off or damage the fault lines. I can't use anything else at the moment. You might even be looking forward to the next brake job.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Has problems
