3/8" drive chrome vanadium socket with corrosion-resistant chrome plated finish. 8mm hex bit constructed of strong S2 steel. For removal and installation of brake caliper mounting bolts. Drive end detent notches provide secure retention of ratchets and extensions. Easy to read die-stamped size marking.
This socket is a go-to for any heavy duty job. Through trial and error, I found that it can handle even the toughest tasks with ease. It's durable, reliable, and made to last.
Good quality. I needed a hex this size to mount a bike rack that had specific torque ratings. My torque wrench is a 1/2" drive so I had to use a 1/2 -> 3/8 adapter (which I already had). I wanted the whole set but they were 3 times the price or more. Because there is one was one time use, single but worked great get it when you need it!
Excellent quality 9mm socket - this socket is IMPOSSIBLE to find locally. Not at the Port, not at Sears (as an outlet), not at Ace gear, not at a home storage facility, not at Lowes. This is an odd size that almost everyone doesn't stock and doesn't put in the commonly sold tool kits. If you are working on a Mercedes you will need this size to remove the front brake calipers.
