Within a week or so these scissors quickly became my favorite sewing scissors! That's right, I'm supplanting my Ginghers, Clausses, and Karen K. Buckleys, which are all my "specialty scissors" now. I like the 10 inch tailor's scissors for cutting patterns (fabric, not paper) and the 8 inch scissors are great general purpose scissors. I really should have known better but I still bought what looked like good value for money because it had so many good reviews. Initially they were incredibly stiff straight out of the box and even after oiling them I'm not happy with the feel of opening and closing. People who call them sharp have probably never used quality fabric or embroidery scissors before. Longer scissors will cut through some of the fabrics I've tested them on, but require little force for layered or thicker fabrics…
