Based on my experience this dress is perfect for little girls who love to dress up. The pattern is festive yet fashionable, and it fits true to size. The material is soft and comfortable, which is important for my active toddler. The only con is that it may not be warm enough for cold winter days, but that can be easily remedied with a cardigan or tights. My daughter loves it! The material is really soft/silky, exactly as pictured and true to size. Unfortunately, I wouldn't call it a dress. It's long and straight, like a nightgown. It has very little flare, just like a dress.
