We received these lovely boots this morning (instead of the obviously used ones that were sent to us yesterday) and wore them for a couple of hours with the insole of one of the boots torn . It's so frustrating because the boots themselves seem very durable and adorable but now she doesn't want to wear them anymore because the insole fell apart and hurt her foot. I ordered two pairs of these boots in different sizes and colors and the first thing you notice when you open them is the SMELL. I've seen other reviewers mention that plastic stinks, but usually the smell of plastic doesn't bother me (reminds me of happy childhood summers playing with swimmers in the pool), it's not that plastic smell. it smells like a cross between weed and skunk and is very strong. These boots are my daughter's birthday present so I hid them in the closet which was a mistake

After reading the reviews and following the sizing chart I decided to order a size 6 which my daughter wore for her last pair of another brand, Lone Cone (she still has room to grow in them , but they are cracked and leaking if they get wet now). Almost every review mentions that they are big, definitely not in our case! When they arrived I found they were too small when I took them out of the box. I checked my measurements and ordered "right size” and she technically fit but didn't last summer
