🌲 Tom's of Maine Men's Long Lasting Wide Stick Deodorant Review: Deep Forest Scent, 2.25 oz (Pack of 3) Review

Beware of shoppers with sensitive skin. The ingredients of this product have changed significantly. My previous order (October 16th) and my last order (March 17th) were different. The product I recently received from Revain now contains Propylene Glycol. Unfortunately, this leaves me with a nice rash now. I've enjoyed using it for a long time, but will now be looking at alternatives.

BUYER BEWARE! Tom changed the ingredient from plant-based propanediol to propylene glycol, which causes an allergic reaction and rash. The whole point is why I bought this to avoid aluminum and propylene glycol. So if Tom silently changes an ingredient without updating the product page, it becomes just like hundreds of other deodorants on the shelf. I will return it and look for another brand.

I have been using Tom's Of Maine deodorant for many years but my last order caused an allergic reaction under my armpits. I stopped using it for a few weeks and put it back on to see if it gave me an allergic reaction and it did. Interesting because now "durable". I remember having to apply deodorant a few times during the day, but because of the ingredients I was fine with it.

I have successfully ordered this on 04/21/2014, 01/31/2017 and 08/03/2017. At least on the August 3, 2017 order, there was a white triangle at the top that said "New Look." The look has actually changed since the April 21, 2014 order (which was for two packs instead of three packs). I ordered again on 01/02/2018. The triangle now says "Improved Flavor." The taste hasn't improved much; That's rough.

I don't understand how the description can say 'Aluminum Free' when the only active ingredient is 22% aluminum hydrochloride. Further reading seems to say that the current research doesn't support the urban myth that aluminum-based antiperspirants are unhealthy, but I'd still call this false advertising.

I wanted this product to really work as I liked the smell and am trying to stop buying aluminum deodorant but I think this natural deodorant is not for me it only lasts 2- 3 hours (working outdoors in New England winters; can't imagine how I would smell in the summer) this might work for someone working in an office, but if you're constantly active during the day I think it would too is not right for you . I've been using Tom's Mountain Spring for many years and it was the first deodorant I really liked after buying Pitsticks for over 25 years. I finally finished the last of my 3 packs of what I believe to be the same 3 pack and was beyond disappointed to receive a new product with the same name. It says enhanced smell but I didn't really like it but added to the offense I applied a little and it burns my armpits. I see a company changing their product line, but why mislead your loyal customers…

This product was used to be amazing, and now it's less than impressive. Smells awful. The "Mountain Spring" sent was a favorite of mine and my girlfriends and I looked forward to wearing it every morning. Now with this "Improved Sent" he smells like hippie S#!T. It's terrible. Why should they do it? Now I have to find a new deodorant again. A classic example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
