I love this shop! for parts

When I saw this thing for the first time, I have to admit that it was stupid to pay so much for something like this. If I was constantly messing with fuel or brake lines, it would be easier to justify myself. But I have 3 car projects right now and they all need fuel lines so I bought them. I'm very glad I did. The thing is solid, well built and works great. It took several minutes to completely straighten 3 spiral sections of 25ft fuel lines.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Tool arrived broken and needs repairs

Tool is solid but not fully assembled. I need to use it for my current project, otherwise I would return it. There's no way to just ask them to send you a replacement or credit for repairing your new instrument. I'll know more about the job when the brake line is delivered here this afternoon. I basically had to drill out a washer and install a new retaining spring on the reel (see photo). Nice tool, I just don't think I need to fix it for its $140 price tag.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Do not buy this tool

I bought this tool to straighten a 5/16 fuel line that I installed on my hot rod. When it arrived it seemed of high quality. I noticed that a spring clip was missing to hold one of the reels. There were NO instructions included. but that's ok, it's a straightener. However, when I used it, my choice changed. The upper bearing flew out and several rollers lost spring clips there. In general, nothing helped, and I ended up straightening the pipes with my hands.

Pros
  • Sleek Design

Un-Kink the Kinks Matching Parts

If you're like me buying 25ft lines, this tool might be for you. So far I've cut to the right length, put the "soft" jaws in my vise, and clamped and loosened them until my pipe was almost straight. With this program, you feed the pipe back and forth through the rollers, reducing the distance between the top two rollers and the three bottom rollers, until your pipe is straight. Thought: You can start by trimming the tubing longer than necessary so you have something to hold on to while you…

Pros
  • Perfect for Outdoor Activities
Cons
  • Functionality

He straightens the pipe, but.

I used this on a 3/8 aluminum pipe first. The tube was twisted so I laid it out as straight as possible and then started feeding it through the tool. To get the pipe straight you need to tighten the rollers a bit. This deformed the tube and made it almost square due to the shape of the rollers. I then tried 5/16 stainless steel tubing, same result but not as bad. With the 3/8 pipe it was so bad that I couldn't get the union nut onto the end of the pipe. I think I'll machine rolls with a precise

  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Frequency

The tube becomes "square "

If you do 3/16 or 5/16, it works great. If you try 3/8" tubing, the rollers will flex and along with the sharp edge on the rim of the rollers will push the cord into the tubing. A few back and forth movements and the tube literally becomes square. I did this with cupronickel pipe and it ruined 20 feet of pipe. it's useless. IT IS SQUARE NOW lol I have tried 3/8 stainless steel and the wheels flex so much they are rubbing against the frame. great idea, poor implementation. Sit back and hit the…
