I purchased these products based on the good reviews from Amazing Ribs. I admit that the steel component is well made and they do a great job. However, the red paint is peeling off! Not that big of a deal unless you're trying to handle a $100+ piece of meat that has tiny flakes of red paint on it! If you want to save on paint, why bother eliminating it at all?!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE PLIERS! I have osteoarthritis and my husband applied it to me with a black plastic pad. I use them to pick up clothes off the floor and load them into the washer, take clothes out of the washer to dry, and transfer clothes from the dryer to the bin. I have another set in the kitchen for getting things out of cupboards. Good product!

Bad design. inferior quality. On first use. 1) The color has mixed with the meat oil and may have ended up on the grilled meat. (Lead paint? = Not good) 2) The paint was peeling off the meat and thank goodness I saw it. 3) They sent me a model with thin handles, so when grabbing a large piece of meat the metal would bend. 4) Pain caused during use due to the hard, sharp edges of the handle. I was going to throw this pair in the trash but decided to use them to collect hot individual charcoal…

Too weak for meat of any size. I didn't like them and returned them. Too expensive compared to what you get elsewhere for the same money. They seem to have been made in a very small and simple shop. I suggest buying insulated gloves from Ansell. They are neoprene (not like a wetsuit but like rubber) and double insulated, safe to 400 degrees. I use Ansell #19-024 and have no problem picking up pork ham, brisket and ribs. And they are easy to clean from the outside.

This tool is ideal for pulling out grilled meat chunks in a vintage Traeger grill without burning your hands. I don't like wearing gloves every time I put, turn, or remove food on the grill. Our grill's deep cooking space requires something that can pinch and pull and twist and pull out things like potatoes and veggies stuffed in the back. It does. I haven't had any problems with peeling paint. I put them in the top rack of the dishwasher and they come out perfect.

Perfect length for what I need it for. Sturdy, the rivets looked good, feels good, and you can pick and move things easily. My friend's only complaint was that the handle could have had better ergonomics. But he loves to complain. I like her. I would recommend. UPDATE 2018: The person who received this suggested to the manufacturer: leave the orange color. It will eventually peel off. He would have preferred simple metal tongs. We live in a cold climate.
