Less expensive than a full set and makes the job easier than a punch and safer than a flat head winder and definitely takes up less space in a tool box than a traditional piston tool set.

We used it on our VW Jetta. This is the only way to easily rotate and insert the brake cylinder. I think we had to carve out two grommets to get it to fit, but that's because VW wanted their dumb calipers to be different from everyone else's.

If you have a Volkswagen Golf/Jetta A3 with rear discs then this tool will not fit as is, you will need to remove the 2 extra bosses it comes with will, and then yes That will do. I can't complain about the price of this tool. It's not bad at all for $35 less than the real vw tool.

I had my doubts but this little device worked as advertised. I just plugged it into my outlet and started bolting the caliper on a 2010 Honda Accord. No more going to Autozone to rent a tool and trying to hold it against the caliber while trying to screw in a piston. A must have for any shade tree mechanic.

Get this device even at a great price. It requires too much inaccessible internal leverage to turn the plunger and this adapter won't stay in place - bleeding joints! I can fix most cars, but I'm not a professional by the way. I'm not sure if other cheaper brands work better, but as often as the brakes need to be changed (rear on a Jetta) it can be an advantage to just have them done somewhere. My pads shot almost 90K so I might have to do it 2x more if I'm lucky. The cost of replacement brakes
