The water bottle screw block is too thick. This creates about an inch of clearance between the cage and the downtube, and on my frame with 40mm tires, the tire touches the bottle nipple. The slightly shorter mountain bike bottle hardly fits in. Another error that made me give up is the stripe that has a corner next to the insertion point. This angle may have been intentional to reduce stress on the strap threads, but the result is that the strap will not sit flush with the frame tube.

I received this to fit a battery pack to my beach cruiser as part of an e-bike conversion. This fastener is basically held in place with a plastic strap, and if you overtighten the screw, the grooves will stretch and the screw will slip off. So it breaks out and then gravity tries to flip the battery. I ended up cutting off the straps and used zip ties. They held on but they broke. I think a couple of metal zip ties could secure the thing, but I don't. The battery is probably too heavy for it…

This is a cost effective and easy to install solution for additional attachment points for bottle cages and other accessories or adding ball cages and other similar accessories to frames that do not have a traditional attachment point.
