Good Value in Electrical Engineering

They are less than half the price of Halo units sold at my local store which I have replaced because they have turned yellow . I hope they don't turn yellow like a halo.

Pros
  • Good Value
Cons
  • Neutral

What a fantastic find!

These moldings are exactly what I was looking for. The brushed nickel finish is beautiful and the price is fantastic. I give them my highest recommendation.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Spend. but looks modern

A bit expensive in my opinion for what it is but they look really good! Modern look, more stylish than white. And I wanted black. But they mostly look black, even though it's technically "bronze".

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Half Price Halo

I was looking at these to replace about 30 lights in my new home. Was a bit suspicious. I bought Halo brand fairings from Lowe's and ordered them to compare. The Torchstar pads were strong and easy to install. I sent the Halo bars back and ordered more. Very happy with my decision. The original trim levels had black stepped baffles. White partitions on it look much more modern, merging with the ceiling.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Elderly

Looks good Glass lighting with spare bulbs

The 4 inch flush mount LED bulbs in our kitchen (which should last 30 years) keep blowing out so we hired an electrician every six months, around two or three to replace them. Eventually I got fed up with the hassle and expense and replaced them all and added 9 new jars to our common room with 4" sockets that fit R20 bulbs which I can remove and replace myself. For some reason the electrician installing these new boxes didn't realize they needed a finish so I bought them not sure if they would…

Pros
  • Finish
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

Much better than those available at Home Depot or Lowe's

These slip rings are, in my opinion, much better than those available at Home Depot or Lowe's for a number of reasons, and they are much cheaper. I've included a picture of the TorchStar fairing on the left and the store-bought fairing on the right. Store-bought is very plastic, discolors over time and seems impossible to clean. The Torchstar finish is made of thin metal and has a very smooth surface that is always easy to clean. The torch star fairing has a hole that houses the bulbs that is…

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • Very Expensive
