Easy to install, the springs could be a little stronger to better compress the foam at the top of the lip so it sits a little more flush with the ceiling. In general, they look great. The edges are sharp, didn't bother me much (rough hands), be careful if you have soft hands that don't do much physical work as you can easily cut yourself.

Tried these trimmers with a mix of 6" Halo brand and Commercial Electric brand. Although their construction was great, solid metal throughout, they were too big to fit in a jar. I tried expanding some jars to fit I even made a "can spreader" tool for it Returned Bought another brand with plastic rings Not as pretty but they fit.

The edge of these aluminum reflectors can be raw and they are made of metal. This makes them razor sharp. No warnings about this. Professionals know: Every metal has to be processed with gloves. But this needs to be user-friendly, and you're unlikely to wear gloves when replacing LED bulbs. So I'm only giving one star: no matter how good a product looks or works, if it can harm you and you weren't warned, it's a bad product.

They are inexpensive and work in a very economical situation like a basement playroom instead of those recessed LED discs that crash everywhere. They prevent lateral glare when the lamp is higher on the slope. They were well packaged and compact to save space without being damaged. What I didn't like is that they have sharp edges, probably due to the lower cost of production.

The plastic border is large enough to hide nasty cuts! For me that was the most important thing because my quilt is old and I didn't do the cuts. They were a bit big. These rings are slightly larger than my old ones which is perfect! The reflectors are also nice and shiny. The springs were "not easy" to install because they are solid, but that's what you need. I'm also glad they had a foam ring to keep dirt out of the attic. Mine looked great - see photos.

Can't believe other bad reviews of these reflective parts! I received 6 packages today and they are all fantastic. They fit snugly to my ceiling or as close as possible since I have a popcorn ceiling in my office. It's nothing fancy, there's a sleek reflective aluminum insert that holds a separate white metal ring over the rim of the can body, covering the edge of the drywall. They look very clean and professional. Now I use them in my office but I will try it in the kitchen at home.

I'd say it's acceptable if you're not very picky. First, they're not white, not even close. They are more of a medium beige. Second, the quality is not very good. I bought two packs of 6 and two were missing small pieces of paint. Two others had serious dents on the trim ring. Another 3 or 4 decorative rings were slightly deformed and did not hold on to the ceiling. I pointed out these quality defects to the seller, who promised to send a replacement.
