Easy to install, works great

Bought two of these for a bathroom renovation. Installation consists of cutting a hole in the drywall, inserting the wires into the connectors and plugging them into the ceiling. They work great with a Lutron dimmer (no lag, which I've seen some complaints about) and produce a great white light instead of the yellow that's hard to find with built-in LEDs.

Pros
  • Complete kit
Cons
  • Some bugs

Bright, low profile, easy to install lights

Incredible lights. They are easy to install as new or replacement fittings. They are very bright, light and fit the ceiling. They made incredible changes to our stairs, laundry room, and closets. I'm seriously considering adding a few to the garage and plan to install a few in the kitchen soon.

  • Great selection

Add some glue to your cart when you receive them.

Brightness is good and installation is easy enough but they really should have at least 3 clips instead of 2. The current clips are not good enough to hold the light fixture firmly to the ceiling. I used them over my shower so I needed them to be snug. I ended up using waterproof glue by first gluing the foam pad to the bracket (it wasn't originally attached) and then gluing it to the ceiling once the pad was dry. However, it will hurt when they need to be replaced.

  • This is amazing

Inexpensive Product delivered on time

The electrical connections did not include a copper ground wire. There was no guide that properly addressed the wiring. My professional knowledge and experience allowed me to know how to fix this, but the average person would have lost the correct instructions. Also, the locking lid wasn't tight enough and had to be taped over to keep it closed. I liked my previous order of Torchlight with a separate junction box attached with a short wire and next time I'll order it again - instead of this…

They changed the connectors. :/

They were easy to install but they changed the way the wiring was wired from a year ago. I bought these to replace one that started flickering after about a year and figured I just need to unplug the previous bulb and plug in the new one. However, the connection was different, so I had to cut the plugs off the old one and plug them into the new one. Normally this would be easier, but the wires are so thin that you literally splice several copper wires together. hope it lasts Otherwise I'll have

Great lights! - Electric

Bought these lights in January 2020. Once I figured out the ins and outs of the pot lights, they were easy to install and worked really well in my kitchen. Illumination is excellent. I've waited so long to give a decent review after seeing how they perform in the past too. how to run it, how to hook it up etc.) I just used the box for the original light and plugged it in there. I don't use a dimmer so I can't confirm that, but then again they work great and for the price you can't beat them!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Gives a lot of light, but has serious disadvantages

Good qualities: - They give a lot of light - No problems with the installation gap - They are inexpensive, but. The Bad: - The spring clips don't hold the lantern flush with 1/2" thick drywall. Gaskets were needed for extra spring tension. The foam gasket is useless; I removed it and applied a small coat of paintable sealer around the outer perimeter to to seal the canopy installed eight of these on 11/2019 and three of them died within two weeks in October 2020. They start to flicker, go on…

Gives a lot of light but has serious flaws

Good features: - They give a lot of light - No gap problems when installing - They are cheap but 2 inches. Spacers were required to provide additional spring tension. The foam gasket is useless; I took it off and applied a light coat of paint sealer around the outer perimeter to seal out the light - I installed eight of them on 11/2019 and three of them died within two weeks in October 2020. They start blinking, switching turn on and off while the other lights in the circuit are still on, and…

Great lamp, lots of light and easy self-assembly.

I had a 6 inch hat lamp in a fiberglass tub/shower. This block was the easiest replacement imaginable. Make sure to turn off the device. After removing the "Can" portion of the old light and removing the 3 wire Romex, the new light received simple color coded plug connections. Ground wire, bare or green, is NOT used on this instrument. Remove the connectors on the back of the new light, pull out the quick connectors, insert white on white, black on black into the hole next to the new mounting…
