These lights were great. Amazing value for $$ honestly. We didn't have a light in our front living room so installing this can light was the perfect addition to our home. We also bought one of the dimmer switches these bulbs are compatible with and we love it too. Easy to install! Definitely recommend.

Lights used as a replacement for CFL canister overhead lights. The Cfl bulbs didn't work for a long time and generated heat. The heat brittled the wires from the ballast to the bulb. Bending the wire broke the wire insulation. I removed the canister and ballast and hooked up new straight headlights. Switch on light and immediately with full brightness. The hardest part was removing the old light and ballast.

We have installed dozens of these types of modified LEDs. There is a difference between the brands, at least in structure and appearance. TORCHSTAR LED downlights are higher quality than most other lights made in China. 24 out of 24 worked right away and still work - no problem. The price is competitive for what you get.

We used these lights in the kitchen, common room and corner to soften the dark areas of these rooms. We needed heavier connectors for the wires, so we used different ones that weren't included in the kit. The green wires weren't that strong, so we used needle nose pliers to push them through the connectors. Easy installation, nice warm white color as described, and they go great with the dimmer.

I chose these as they match the "old school" look of a fixture that is actually recessed into the ceiling. I like this for a room where I use screens because there is a further downward beam of light and should cause less glare. I replaced a couple of surface mount lights with 16 in a 20' x 20' room.
