Compared to my old unit with the same basic specs, it's easy to customize for a specific task,

So far so good. In Tennessee, July is not the best time to use a real oven, so I didn't. But I often use the microwave function and I really like it. My previous mic/convection was a different brand that had 2 knobs to control different functions and I really didn't like them; I've always been below or above the desired value and spent a lot of time playing around with it to get the number I wanted. It entered the digital age and made fine-tuning easier. I haven't tried any presets (I guess Iโ€ฆ

Mom Gift โ€“ Small Appliances

This rating refers to the combination microwave/convection 1.5. It seems medium to me, not too big, but I'm used to the built-in one, and this one is smaller! I bought this as a gift for my mom as her new house didn't have a built in microwave and she loved the idea of an extra oven for the holidays. It included 2 stands, a turntable, a turntable stand/mount and a small instruction manual. We tried all the settings right away because we didn't want to be surprised later when it was too late toโ€ฆ

Top heating element on display

Our 1980's microwave was no longer working properly so we decided to buy a new one. We liked the idea of having a convection oven as part of the microwave. After reading the questions and answers here as well as many reviews here, we decided on this model. The microwave worked great. However, the convection didn't seem to brown the roast or biscuits the way we expected. We found that the top heating element wasn't working, so we experimented with different settings and even held a paper plateโ€ฆ
