Great product even better customer service

I'm a fan of peripherals so using a hub with my MacBook Pro is a must. This USB hub, combined with another independently powered daisy-chain hub, allows me to connect eight devices to my laptop, all of which work flawlessly. With your monitor and power connected through this hub, you only need to connect one cable to your laptop. However, I don't use this feature as my monitor is connected via its own USB-C cable as it also has its own hub. In the end I had to contact the support team to solve…

Replace all your USB-C dongles with this versatile portable hub.

Just received today and used with a 2018 13" MacBook Pro running the latest macOS Catalina (10.15.3). I connected it to: a USB-A mechanical keyboard (KBParadise V60, in case anyone is interested), a USB-A Logitech Unifying receiver through which I use a Logitech M330 mouse, an HP VH240a display via an HDMI port, and a USB-C power pass -through. Everything works fine so far. or tremors when typing with the mouse, and the display works fine in extended desktop mode. The HP display is 1080p@60Hz…

It works Computers and accessories

I haven't had this hub for a long time so I can't speak to longevity or longevity (maybe I'll update if there are problems) . I tested different computers and peripherals. Here's my list (what worked): This helped connect the Dell Latitude 7490 to a monitor via HDMI in addition to a USB mouse and keyboard. Connecting the Pixelbook Go (2019) to a monitor via HDMI and Display Port also helped. I also managed to connect an old monitor via VGA. The ethernet worked and the audio connection worked…

You *can* connect three monitors; great tech support

Summary: You can use it with three monitors if you turn off your laptop's display (press Windows key + P, then click Second display only). If you are using a DisplayPort adapter, use active. Excellent technical support. At first I couldn't get the monitor to work through a DisplayPort hub with a DisplayPort to DVI adapter. I've encountered this problem before and the solution is to switch to an "active" DisplayPort adapter. I am using "Cable Matters Active DisplayPort to DVI Adapter (Active DP…

Light weight and meets all my needs

Update February 2021: Bought a second one this year as my first one is in the office. Due to the pandemic, the office is closing and I can't get it out of the office. I really like it as it has all the sockets I need! I needed a USB-C hub for many of my needs as shown below. Connect to my ethernet cable2. Connect to my SD card3. Connect to my 4k monitor (HDMI port)4. Connect and charge the watch (USB)5. Connect and charge your phone (usb)6. Plug in and charge my wireless (USB) headphones. I…

Reliable USB-C hub; Check compatibility with your monitors

This USB-C hub is very well made; The quality is on par with an 8-in-1 hub I've bought before from the same manufacturer. I love that it comes with a nice padded case which makes it very travel friendly. The 12-in-1 hub is only slightly longer than the 8-in-1 hub, although it looks much larger in the photos. All USB ports, Ethernet ports, USB-C PD ports and SD/TF slots work as expected. As stated on the product page, the USB ports deliver low power, so it only charges my phone in slow mode…

Pros
  • Massive Docking Station: Make sure your laptop's Type-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and Power Delivery. Mirror display for macOS only. The USB hub is not compatible with the USB-A to USB-C adapter.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Very impressed

I needed a docking station for my Macbook Pro. Most of the ones I've borrowed or bought from friends have all had trouble meeting my needs. This covers all the basics for me. - SD card slots for my camera and Raspberry Pi - Gigabit Ethernet with built-in bandwidth - enough USB ports for keyboard, mouse, storage, peripherals - multiple outputs to work with different monitors I have around my house. The Totu 12 in 1 has HDMI, DP and VGA ports which I can use to add just one extra monitor to my…

Pros
  • Plug-Play: Mac only offers duplication of two external displays. Ionized aluminum alloy one-piece cover, very compact and thin. Only works as a USB-C hub, may not provide enough power for tablets and smartphones.
Cons
  • Very expensive

This is a long-awaited port expander that actually supports two or more external monitors! All previous versions had an HDMI port and a VGA port, but VGA only worked in a mirrored port with an HDMI port. Not very helpful if you ask me. I was still able to use two monitors with 1 HDMI port from the TOTU hub and one port from my laptop, but connecting multiple cables to make it work wasn't the docking hub solution I was looking for. This 12-in-1 device, with support for 3 independent video ports…

Pros
  • Wide Compatibility: Compatible with Type-C System: Works with Windows 7/8/8. 1/10, Mac OS X 10.6, Linux 2.6.14 or later operating system (please use the above 45W adapter to charge the laptop).
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
