🐴 Australian Outrider Collection Leather Bridle/Halter by Tough 1 Review

My horse broke almost all of the bridle sets. It is softly padded on the nose, fits well and is easy to put on and take off. I use side rings on my halter to ride without a bridle.

didn't save that. I like the "idea" that it can remove the bit, but I didn't trust it to stay tight and not come loose when a riding situation came up. And it's NOT leather!

I put this on my horse and a day later it was a completely different item (in a bad way). She can take it off herself very easily, so it won't work. Although it can only be her, as she does with all her halters.

I give three stars because it was good while it lasted. but if you have a horse that likes to fight with a halter. it will slow down, just received 5 days ago. The second ride, and my horse tore the bandage on his head while standing tied. Was very disappointed as it was so convenient to have the halter and bridle in one piece.

This is a spectacular bridle/halter. My new horses treat it like a halter in training and then when I want to use it for riding they are more comfortable and I can control their bridle. I've used a good 3ft ring snaffle and it's great. I love anything with such diverse multifunctionality.

As other reviewers have noted, the leather is very stiff right out of the box. It goes very well with my Fox Trotter. I had to cut a hole to make the neck buckle shorter, but all the other buckles were fairly adjustable. I docked a sprocket because the spring on the clip that attaches the bit to the halter broke the first time I tried to undo it. It's easy enough to replace these clips at your local store for a few bucks, and the rest of the build seems very solid. Doc approves his new hat!

I bought this about 2-3 weeks ago and my horse absolutely loves it! The previous bridle rubbed her nose quite a bit and I didn't have that problem with this one as it has a soft noseband. Removing the bit makes it easier for her to saddle up and she also holds the bit very well. I often take her for long walks and it's nice when we can stop somewhere and give her a break from the reins and not have to swap her for another halter. Totally recommended, the quality is just what I need!

Very satisfied. I loved the idea of faux leather that looks/feels like real leather without the necessary maintenance, but was nervous that such a thing could actually exist. Well it is! Has worked well for two months. Yesterday, after a group ride, I took off the bridle and tied my horse to the trailer with a halter and a leash. She jerked her head quickly, breaking the latch on the holster's neck AND the chin strap in one movement. I didn't find the leather very durable. Honestly I have to change my rating.
