Definitely gives power.

The two strips at the end of the paddle definitely give power and I feel a lot better. I wrapped both the Gearbox Gx6 and Players Rogue 2 in lead tape.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Does what it should.

I bought a mid-range racquet and as my game progressed I figured a heavier racquet would help. Instead of buying a new one, I bought this one as an experiment. So far so good and it's stuck.

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Good but not great

Fits Pickleball: Leisure Sports & Game Room

Great for adding weight (for more power) to your paddle. There was too much around the left/top/right guard so I cut off the corners. You should try different weights to see what works best for your playing style. Good product.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

There was no difference with my paddle.

This lead strap is very expensive so I was hoping it would add weight to my paddle. When I applied it it didn't make much of a difference. The only good thing is that there was no glue left when I took it off, but the paint came off my selkirk.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Weight

Finally. a little forgiveness

I bought an Esper Pickleball paddle. I love spin and middle ground, but a range hit and sometimes a miss at the tip of the paddle goes nowhere or through the net. I used the full reel and it did what I wanted without sacrificing playability or weight.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poor instructions

It does its job.: Pickleball

Actually, not much can go wrong. It does its job by adding weight to the paddle when needed. You cut off the required amount and apply it. I put tape around the edge of the blade covering the lead tape. The manufacturer would like to use a black finish on the lead tape to match most blades if you don't want to mask it off.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Stays in place and adds weight

I have used this tape on Selkirk Amped Epic Lightweight paddles to get the weight in the mid range. The light weight of the paddle caused my elbow to hurt when playing and it helped. My Epic originally weighed 7.625 ounces and now weighs 8.125 ounces with the lead strap. I haven't used everything. The band is thin for Epic, but Epic has a thick core. I was able to run two parts side by side and still had room for one more. For a regular gauge paddle, this strap is the perfect size. Stays in…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Hard to tell
