Extra thin paper. I think this is what you want if you're making a lot of folds, but I actually preferred the thicker paper when starting out. Thin ones crease too easily.

This is a lightweight paper that is better to use than carbon paper. I had to practice a few before I got the hang of it. I bought this to help my niece make 1000 cranes for her wedding.

I bought this paper based on a review that said it's so thin you can see it when you hold it against holding the light. I intended to use this paper to make kusudama balls for the centerpieces of my reception tables. Unfortunately, in my case, that assessment was terribly wrong.
