Ready to Update Drivers

If your computer does not have an optical drive (CD-ROM), you MUST download the drivers from tp-link BEFORE installing the card. You need to install the drivers after installing the card, but the reason you should download them in the first place is that for some reason your network slows down to a minimum after installing the card and before installing the driver. This will be fixed after installing the driver, but you'll be sitting there for a very long time trying to access the website for…

Painfully slow, constant connection problems

The East has enough time to install and use, but it is excruciatingly slow. I have Gigabit internet and while I know Wi-Fi can't take full advantage of it, this card is terrible. My laptop boots at 300Mbps and I'm lucky enough to squeeze out 9Mbps when no one else is online via WiFi. Also, it has many connection issues. About half the time when I boot up my computer it just says there are no networks to connect to. When I actually click the system tray icon to see the available networks, they…

Semi Plug and Play in Windows 10.

The speed reaches 26 MB/s with a connection speed of 70 MB/s. Definitely not 300. But enough to do what I need. The price was amazing on offer, bought two. The first was plug-and-play, connected instantly by pressing the power button. Both computers are running Windows 10 64. I'm not sure what the problem is with Windows 10, it may have been fixed by now as well. I put the CD in the second one and it installed immediately. I am very happy. Ironically, I'm getting rid of my TP Link router with…

Installed and works fine, I don't understand people's problems

Plugged into a free slot, turned on, started the computer, inserted the installation disk and started Autorun.exe. Was online in just 5 minutes. I almost bought it because of the scary reviews from people having trouble downloading their own drivers and jumping through hoops. but why? It comes with an INSTALLATION CD with drivers and a fully automated installer that works flawlessly! To be honest I think some people just couldn't get the cardboard insert out of the box to find the installation…

This company offers excellent customer service.

I bought this little gem of a network card because I have a medium sized desktop and needed a faster network than (then) USB options could offer. Unpack the card, install it in a free PCI Express slot, install the driver (on the supplied CD), connect external antennas, done. Not quite. I installed this device in the shortest PCI Express slot I had on my system and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I was able to get it to work (more often) by deleting all network devices from Device…

If you like intermittently slow internet but this!

Don't buy it unless you read texts about it online. I'm a computer enthusiast, I know how to troubleshoot, I've done everything I could, no solution to this google tp -link wn881. Problem with Windows 10 and you will see that the internet is flooded with people having the same problem as me. This is not compatible with WINDOWS 10, so don't buy it. return Have fun shopping!

Good when it works for internals

It's great when it works. My router is in the living room, about the same room as where I keep my computer, and somehow the adapter gets disconnected a lot during my use. I mostly use my computer to play games or occasionally watch youtube videos and there is so much buffer it's funny at times. Other times it's so smooth and works like a dream and I can play games or watch videos without a single buffer. To be honest I would give this product 5 stars if the disconnects weren't so frequent, but…
