TP-Link AC750 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router

They have tech support - so to speak! The first router was returned because I couldn't get it to work. Spent 3 useless hours with a technician who never got it working and then sent the unit back. Since my friend has one, I bought another one. My friend said it would be difficult to set up. The second arrived - tried to follow the instructions - it didn't work - call tech support. This man never figured out what the problem was after doing this and that for half an hour. By mistake I tried to…

Works great: Networking products

Easy setup. I appreciate all the preset switch settings and the explanation of when you're going to use them. don't lose it However, once you're in the tethering settings, just click Quick Setup, choose new names and passwords (if you want), and you're done. Used at a resort with free wi-fi where I couldn't set up a Chromecast but allowed my entire family to connect and stream to our TV. It depends on your base / free wifi but it was enough to stream movies and music. Good range. 5g options…

Great as a WiFi client

I have a desktop computer with a PCIe WiFi card that used to work fine. Ever since I moved the parts to a new PC case, my connection has been very unstable with long delays. The new case appears to contain enough metal to act as a Faraday cage for the opposing radio antennas. This router is used as a PC bridge. TP-Link connects to the main router at home via WiFi in client mode, and then the PC connects to TP-Link via Ethernet. I chose this one based on the reviews and the compact size. Setup…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Good and handy travel router

Works to extend home WiFi or use in hotels, even when entering an authorized portal. When I travel, I use the same SSID and IP address range as my home router, which allows my devices to connect automatically and allows me to use my Roku, Chromecast, and Echo devices. I've used a few times with no problems. Setup is easy. Just follow the included instructions or steps through the router's portal.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Loses saved settings when toggling the switch

I really like this little router, but I noticed a bug. combination, the router will lose all of its saved settings like SSID, password, etc. and everything will be reset to factory defaults. Has anyone else noticed this or do I just have a defective device?

  • Happy so far

GREAT LITTLE ROUTER

This router is great for taking a cellular hotspot and making it available to 4 separate devices. It loads fast. It is easy to use and the user interface is easy to understand. Make sure you read the instructions so you can change your password to one that is more convenient for you. This is the second router I have bought (I bought this for my son who is in the military and needed a portable router). I'm still using the first one I bought 2 years ago, it works great.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

If you travel you should have these

I wish I had discovered this many years ago. So many uses. Hotels for one. You have a media server at home, but the internet is down and all your broadcast devices and smart TVs are silent. Don't worry, use your mobile hotspot to connect your TV to the internet and view local content.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Disappear

The best portable router!

The moment I mailed it and started to work. Set up was very easy, special skills required! I use WISP mode and am very happy that I have full WiFi coverage in my apartment. I'll be using it on my trip abroad next Thursday, so hopefully there's more joy to share. I think it must be a WiFi extender as all airport networks have their login pages and I haven't researched how to handle this when using it as a client or WISP. Works in two bands, very happy with the purchase. Thank you Rewin!
