Touch is slow but it works fine.

It works well with my Windows CE 1.0 Pocket PC with a small enough memory card which was the main reason for purchase. It also works great with my PowerBook G3 running Mac OS X 10.4.11, allowing me to carry around a few gigabytes of extra storage. It's a little slow, but that's because it's a 16-bit card and not a full cardbus. While it's slow, it's hard to argue against the convenience of not having to shove a CF card reader in my laptop bag when I take my old digital camera with me.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Requires power outlet

Works great in my Honda Civic card reader

I use this PCMCIA card adapter in my 2007 Honda Civic stereo which has a PC card slot. I also use this with Lexar 1GB and 4GB Compact Flash cards and it works flawlessly. I'm so glad I can now listen to great music without having to plug my iPhone into the aux cable.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Quality

Works great, even with old Macintoshes.

I bought this to use with an Apple Powerbook 190cs running Mac OS 7.5.5. Yes, the one from 1995. Works great. Great for moving files between modern computers and the old thing (using a USB CF card adapter). Useful things to know if you want to use it in a similar way: - Turn off PC Exchange before inserting it into your Powerbook. - If you are using a modern PC (as opposed to a Mac OS X computer), use MacDrive to read the HFS file system.

Update: Didn't work after 1 year of unopened storage

I bought this card as a backup and recently went to test it but it couldn't be read. I know the card reader works because I used a different function card with it. To put it mildly, it was rather disappointing. Update: Correction to my previous review, the adapter worked as intended. The problem ended up being with the SD memory card.

Works great in Fantom X-6!

Perfect fit. Uses a Roland 2GB CompactFlash memory card for the Fantom X-6 synthesizer to connect it. No hassles, no physical issues, and the 2GB CompactFlash card was easily recognized on the synth's LCD. I recommend this seller and this combination. Thank you!

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Works great in a 2010 Honda CR-V

My 'new' 2010 Honda CR-V was pretty modern in terms of gadgets, with Bluetooth for phones, voice commands, USB connectivity etc a slot for a PCMCIA card that was widely used in previous generation laptops. So, as a gadget junkie, that's exactly what I need to use this slot and it works great together with an 8GB CF card. There are adapters that accept different memory cards, but I didn't see the point in spending the extra money if I only have one specific use for this thing.

Pros
  • Memory card adapter
Cons
  • Quick guide

Works great on Honda CRV 07!

I bought this for a Honda CRV 07 with navigation. The CRV has an additional 3.5mm jack input, but no USB audio input, so looking around I found a connector for a PC card slot. After buying other brands and failing, I bought this one. Works perfectly! The best way to get pure digital sound in 07 CRV with Navigation without major hardware modifications. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W05O5O/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_32 I could probably just get a 4GB CF memory card because according to the 07 CRVโ€ฆ

2008 Honda CRV in Memory Card Adapters

I recently purchased a 2008 Honda CRV. The sound system has a slot for a PCMCIA adapter so you can add music to your system using a CompactFlash card. I had never heard of any of this before. Now it seems that PCMCIA technology is a bit outdated. Other than that, I couldn't find a PCMCIA adapter in any store I went to. I've read numerous online forums and heard that a Transcend adapter works with a CompactFlash card. I bought a Transcend PCMCIA ATA to CF card adapter along with a Transcend 4GBโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • No Instructions

Don't forget this is slow 16-bit hardware, but it works, fits flush into the PCMCIA slot and is very affordable. It can make a CF-I card readable on an XP computer, even if this CF-I adapter is equipped with two 64Gbps SDXC microchips. SSD is stable solid-state storage. An SSD hard drive is simply a hard drive with solid state storage. But if you have an available SD port or PCMCIA slot on your computer, I'm wondering; Could you put in something like an SSD at least for backup? My Panasonicโ€ฆ
