Review on 💾 Enhance Your Device's Storage with Transcend PCMCIA ATA Adapter for CF2 Card by Solomon Inks

I recently purchased a 2008 Honda CRV. The sound system has a slot for a PCMCIA adapter so you can add music to your system using a CompactFlash card. I had never heard of any of this before. Now it seems that PCMCIA technology is a bit outdated. Other than that, I couldn't find a PCMCIA adapter in any store I went to. I've read numerous online forums and heard that a Transcend adapter works with a CompactFlash card. I bought a Transcend PCMCIA ATA to CF card adapter along with a Transcend 4GB 133x CompactFlash memory card and everything worked fine. If you are reading this, you may also be looking for a Honda PCMCIA adapter. My only advice is to be careful with the size of memory card you buy. 4GB works great on my system, but it's a bit (about 5 seconds) slower to start up (navigation and audio) when I turn on my car. After booting I don't see any negative changes and everything works fine. 32GB CompactFlash cards are available at any electronics store or online. I would imagine that putting that much data into your Honda's system would slow it down significantly, if not crash it. This is just my opinion and I have not tested this theory. Hope that helps. Overall the product worked as described and I had no problems using it on my Windows computer or Honda car. My only advice for Honda owners is if you plan on burning music onto a CompactFlash card and then using the adapter in your car, make sure your computer has a PCMCIA adapter slot or a CompactFlash card slot or a has external storage. Card reader with CompactFlash slot. (Few steps to get my music into my CRV but well worth it in the end).
