Something like that. It seems to lower the voltage more than advertised as the dryer feels like "not enough power" and the build quality isn't too good, it falls out a bit all the time.

I got this transformer for use in USA with my Japanese hair dryer, I was worried my hair dryer motor would burn out but when I use this transformer the hair dryer doesn't work and also still in "turbo" mode, so I decided to remove the transformer and try a hair dryer, much better, I've been using a non-transformer hair dryer for a few weeks now and everything is fine.

My first Japanese hair dryer broke because I didn't use it, so I bought a second Panasonic hair dryer and power supply. Now that I have this power switch I can finally use a Panasonic hair dryer in the US!

The best choice. It goes well with my Panasonic NA98 Nano Hair Dryer. I'm in Singapore and you can't use a hair dryer here. I'm looking on Amazon JP but all the transformers are either too big for the use or don't fit in the nano hair dryer. Also on Taobao, transformers are very heavy - 5 kg. I have to say that this is the best choice I can find in any online store. The rating should be much higher!

Good quality, perfect for my Panasonic NA98 hair dryer. However, it's very easy to fall out of the socket, so you'll probably have to find a way to support the transformer.

The charging converter is good as long as my hair dryer can use a safer voltage that is acceptable to my outlets. However, what I don't like is that this item is quite bulky and takes up quite a bit of space if I place it away from the outlet. But that's easy to solve if I put this converter on the bottom output. I'm not sure if this puts the use of voltage at a safer level, but I know the Japanese hair dryer I bought didn't have a fire spark, so I'm pretty happy with this product.

I brought it in and only used about 4 times and it just 'burned out' on its own! The socket is very loose and falls out easily, most importantly your Japanese hair dryer doesn't work very well even in turbo mode. Don't buy it!
