Disappointing closure

I love everything about this backpack except the quality of the closure. The gold started to wear out within the first week of light wear (I took it to work and to eat, that's all!) and now after 2.5 weeks of wear (again nothing special - just took it to work and ran). hereabouts). business), he also picks up a few scratches. I'm disappointed because I haven't even taken it on a trip yet! This bag would get 5 stars from me, but the closure bothers me a bit. Especially since it was $70.

Bad hardware in a well designed bag

I just used this bag on a week long trip to Europe and the front hardware is cracked and scratched! One week! The plate around the knob was badly chipped - obviously galvanized metal, not solid. See photo. This should not happen in just one week. Now it looks messy. It's a shame because otherwise it's a very sleek design and a useful holdall. The straps were comfortable enough for all day wear. Too bad about the equipment. Would come back if I could.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • So far so good

Already broken: Suitcase & luggage

Although I've had the backpack for 7 months now, I used it on two trips to Disneyland. It serves its purpose, I had to keep adjusting the straps as they kept sliding down, but I still liked the backpack as it was perfect for Disneyland. Unfortunately I used it today to relieve shoulder pain and the zipper broke. Even in the sense that I can't fix it, how does it protect against theft when one of the locking zips can break so easily? I was amazed, it's almost like the metal is very weak. So…

  • Great for me
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, it's ok

Chic and deceptively spacious

Bought for a trip to Paris. It looks great, has a slim side profile, good internal pockets and fits quite a bit: a small umbrella, an A4 notepad, sunglasses, a cell phone, a wallet, a passport and a few other small items. (with free space). Seemed fairly waterproof as we showered several times during the trip and the inside was never damp. There was no attempted theft to my knowledge, but the zipper is easy to use and can be hidden under the flap. The straps were comfortable and seemed durable.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some complications

Great for a purse, a thin book and maybe another medium sized item

I love the security features of this bag. It's well built, reliable and durable. However, I was not satisfied with the limited space available. Bought before the trip. I like to take a guide with me when I travel. This time I had an adapter with me, but with my wallet, cell phone and portable charger (I'm happy to provide) it was full. Luckily I was able to giggle plenty of little nooks and crannies for small items like lip balm, eye drops, etc.). I could use an extra 3-4 inches of space.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great for essentials

Great lightweight holdall. Felt secure with lockable zips and folded over the top once I got used to using it. Pros: - More of a handbag than a backpack. - Fits in the padded compartment for an iPad - Holds essentials for a day of sightseeing: camera, phone, water bottle, sunglasses and goggles, iPad and small water bottle, small sunscreen, light sweater and even a few protein bars - it's all there it fits perfectly. Use the exterior pocket on the back for things you need to grab or store…

Great little backpack

Oh my god I love this backpack! This is my second Travelon bag (previously I had a shoulder bag). I like the anti-theft features. I bought this backpack for a trip to Spain, I wanted something slim, stylish and black that suits the Europeans and doesn't scream 'tourist'! Mission accomplished. I felt very connected. I wore this backpack every day with a black jacket to make it even less visible. I've never worried about theft because a would-be thief would really have to spend a few precious…
