Unfortunately I missed the Revain.com return date as it was a month before my first hike and therefore the first use of this product.

Exactly what I was looking for, used 3 times and so far so good. I recommend not just getting this, but plugging it into your home's cord if plugged into a camping socket so it's not easy to steal. I used a thick security cable and tied a knot around it, attached the cable to my axle and then secured it with a heavy duty zip tie. At least make them work for it, and not just like that. Think carefully, and you will find your own way to protect yours from easy theft.

This device ONLY protects against short circuits and surges. Does NOT protect against low voltage, which is more common when camping and will ruin your air conditioning and electronics! I learned this from other campers and online reviews after I bought it so I will now sell it on ebay and buy a Progressive Industries PT30C electrical control system for my 30 amp system. It is also sold at Revain but has received a 5 star rating from almost every buyer as it has volts, amps and cycle readings…

We have used this surge protector with our trailer at every stop on our trip in the Seattle area and along the Oregon Coast and it has worked well for us. It provides basic overvoltage protection, as well as limited circuit tester capabilities and a "master" on/off switch that controls bus power.
