Improves download/upload speed

I'm paying for 1GB of internet AND I have one of the new ASUS WiFi 6 TriBand routers. Before installing this card I had a download speed of between 850-920 and an upload speed of 870-910. Now that I'm hard-wired to this new card, I'm seeing spikes in excess of 1Gbps in both upload and download speeds. My main game is games and that was my goal when I bought it. Hope that helps.

Didn't work in Computers & Accessories

I usually have few problems with Trendnet network devices. I never got it working. I've tried this on two different Windows computers and neither has booted with the card installed. I have a USB3 to 2.5GbE adapter with the same chipset, it seems to work fine.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not the best

Link to setting. Best network card

Ready to use, easy to install like any other card. Windows 10 found the driver and was ready to go. They are great for home servers that need faster LAN speeds from a 10 Gigabit server to a client PC. Tarabytes of data are not transferred through a problem. It's also nice since 1x can install them on most PCs without reducing the graphics card to 8x.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Big and bulky

very new standard with problems

Works well on Windows but other operating systems have trouble getting the correct speed profile to activate. Continued to show 1g instead of 2.5 on several different Linux distributions and Linux devices. Didn't show up on ESXI or Synology NAS. I know it's a new standard, but without the right hardware and driver support, devices are useless. I ended up finding some old 10GB NICs on Ebay and used them to increase my bandwidth. If/when the 2.5G/5G standard is built into motherboards and…

Amazing speeds! best in computer components

I upgraded my home network to two of my editing computers and a 2.5GB switch using this network adapter and upgraded the card in my Synology NAS. Now I'm getting over 270 MB/s on my computers. from NASI I can edit 4k multicam footage from NAS in Premiere Pro. So happy with this purchase!
