My office is about 60 feet from my wireless router and my signal was between 1 and 2 bars (out of 5). I bought this antenna to increase signal strength and although it has increased it is now between 2 and 3 divisions. My Apple Mac-mini gets 5 bars, as does my Linux-based netbook. Delivery was on time so I ordered it. types.

Works great; has more than twice the reception range of the previous Dickie antenna. The Flyer antenna shows the signal strength in one bar, the Trendnet omnidirectional antenna shows the signal strength in three equally spaced bars. No more interruptions with Trendnet. I originally purchased this item to replace the wireless antenna that came with my computer. The plug was broken and I was looking for a replacement. I stumbled across this item and am glad I bought it. This antenna gave me two more bars on my wireless connection, which also seemed to give me a faster connection speed as it must have dropped to a slower speed due to a weaker signal.
