I originally purchased this item to replace the wireless antenna that came with my computer. The plug was broken and I was looking for a replacement. I stumbled across this item and am glad I bought it. This antenna gave me two more bars on my wireless connection, which also seemed to give me a faster connection speed as it must have dropped to a slower speed due to a weaker signal. The antenna is a bit big compared to what I had before but that doesn't seem to be a problem as it also flexes at the base allowing it to clear most areas. The base is also magnetic,
