I start the purchase and say that it works well as a USB hub with a built-in network adapter. But I was brought to this page because of a claim that ethernet would work with the Nintendo Switch, so the answer is no. The model on the product page can work without a USB hub, but not with a hub.

I took this hub out of the box, popped it into my Chromebook, plugged in the ethernet cable and was online! No fuss, no mess, it just works! It also adds 3 USB ports to Chromebooks without USB ports. I wish Windows was that easy!

I had good experience with trendnet products before. Not just Realtek drivers from the manufacturer. I got this to get GIGE, it took a bit of work with Windows 10 but it works. You must only enable this AFTER downloading the latest driver from the . DO NOT use the CD as it will give you a major headache.

I tried two different hubs and both times my Nintendo Switch couldn't connect to the internet through the ethernet port Modem and switch updated software/firmware of all devices multiple times. As a USB hub, it works well on Nintendo Switch, the ethernet port works on a regular PC.
