Install my hitch, install the F250 2x2 receiver.

Fits my trailer hitch, fits F250 2x2 hitch mount. I don't like round keys. Latching requires some fiddling when you're lying on your back.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Works with hitch locks

Kit works as described. Unfortunately, the lock on my trailer hitch rusted after a month or two. Spraying the lock with penetrating lubricant unlocked it. In short, grease the pin and lock to avoid this. I hope I can hold out for a few years.

Not suitable for clutch class V

Looks like a solid product, it would be nice if I could use it, but it doesn't suit my 2015 F250 application. The product description says "Suitable for Class III, IV and V hitch devices." I have Class V which is 1/2 inch wider than Class IV, this receiver lock will not fit, it's too short. It only works with Class III and Class IV.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Not the best
