Well made and surprisingly hard to find

I believe most uses for this product will make up a 3 foot difference in length when hooking up a refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner or heater. . As most new homes have a plug every 6ft or plugs specifically designed for this purpose it was impossible to find one locally. You want to use the shortest cable possible, and that's it. were well done. I recommend this if you are in a bind and only need a few yards.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing

Great short extension

Need an extension for an external Christmas garland. It was the shortest I could find, sized for the street. It worked great! At night it was up to -30 degrees and more, but they never closed. No matter how much snow fell, the lights turned on and off with ease. I was able to wrap the cord in the outer closed area of the connector only to have the end dangling to connect the light and they worked exactly as intended. Happy with the purchase; I will use them again next winter.

  • Best in the niche

Heavy Duty is subjective

Tripp-Lite will label the extension cord Heavy Duty like other companies. Hard work versus what? Just check the specs to make sure they're sure to meet your needs. For all the specs and safety ratings, simply visit the Tripp-Lite website and search for the part number. This 14AWG cable is just what I needed. Some companies describe 16AWG wire as heavy duty. I have used Trip Lite products for a long career in IT and the quality has always been good. This cable appears to be well made. This cable

Perfect for my treadmill

For example, when you extend treadmills, the cable must match the treadmill or be better. Failure to do so can result in engine problems and shortened life expectancy, or worse, the risk of fire. This extension cord is a perfect match - 14 gauge and 300 volts. I have several Tripp Lites. products and found that they are all high quality products. Looking at this extension, it seems to be a quality product as well. I am very happy and can now move my treadmill to where I want to use it.

Quality Problem Solving!

Needed a short, sturdy extension with good aesthetics as it runs across the countertop. So I couldn't let the longer cord slack and didn't want the 'ugly' cord unplugging itself after I freshened up the room. This 14AWG cable is flexible and has shapely ends. Contrary to some reviewer's comments, the ends of the cord I received were perfectly formed and plugged easily into the outlet and device. Deducted a star for value for money simply because the extender is the same price as an 8ft cable of

Great for getting rid of long extension cords

Love short extension cords for permanent connection (eg TV, lamp etc.). I recently discovered that when it comes to extensions, less can be more. I have several 1 foot wrenches that will come in handy in crowded outlets. They allowed access to plug and unplug outlets which I avoid. I have 2 foot splitters for the same reason. I have 10 foot shorties to tie up excess wiring around the house. ADVANTAGES: Good price. Good black, not white - some unpleasant color. I see. NOTE: 15Ax110V = 1650W max.

  • Great for a small home

  • Vulgarity

Works perfectly. Not bad for a small heater.

I had only one reason to buy and that was to increase the distance of the portable heater. It seems that heaters always come with a warning to never be plugged into an extension cord, but directly into the wall. The problem is that heaters always have short cords. When is anyone going to wake up and turn on at least a decent 10 foot cord with a heater? I bought this cord because it was rated for power outages on my heater and because it was only 3 feet long, which was good enough for myโ€ฆ

Pros

Cons
  • High Price

I ordered this cable because it meets European Manufacturing Standards (ROHS) that reduce or eliminate lead in sheathing. You will notice that there is no California warning in the product description. Then you would be correct in assuming that since there is no CA warning there is no wire in the cable. However, a California warning label was attached to the cord (see image). There is no ROHS stamp on the cable itself (but there is a UL stamp). The cable came in packaging that indicates ROHSโ€ฆ

Finally! No more unplugging splinters with the 1800W deep fryer!

I bought this primarily for use with my Waring 1800W fryer which we use in the garage rather than the kitchen. With outlets so far apart that the tiny cord that comes with the fryer obviously doesn't help. However, since this is a 1800 W (15 A) device, only a very durable extension cord can be used without risk of overheating. This fits the bill perfectly - it's EXACTLY the right length, THICK (heavy duty) and holds up great. There are no loose connections at the overheat outlet, which couldโ€ฆ
