A simple extension when a simple extension is needed.

Looks like a simple "dumb" power strip (no surge protection) that can be used in situations where surge protection is NOT required - usually in combination with other surge protection devices . The cable is a bit bulky and difficult to wind. I finally "fixed" it with some patience by bending back part of the cable almost exactly as it was in the box and using zip ties. Won't win awards for good looks, but it gets the job done. If I needed a "smart" power strip with surge protection, I would go…

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • I don't like it, it's ok

Durable, simple, best in power strips and surge protectors

Working, wish the cord was a little more flexible so it lays flat on the table and doesn't shift to the side due to stiffness. I also want at least some of the connectors to be oriented the other way. For an inexpensive outlet, it's ok. I got what I paid for and I deliberately chose price over features but still wanted quality and the quality itself is fine - no sharp edges, everything fits together well, durable

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Damaged

Better than most top extenders

Just an extender but better than most: the soft/flexible cable I needed for this setup. Required a 90 degree socket, but black was more important; You may have to redo the ends one day, but I knew that before ordering.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Very expensive

Perfect for our tight spaces!

We needed a thin extension cable to connect to our new TV, DVD, Apple TV, security DVD player and our soundbar. So we found one that suits us. It's narrow and long and has plenty of sockets (7) sufficient for what we need. We're glad it doesn't glow as bright, bright green as the last big one we had. It doesn't even show up when the TV is on in the dark! YUP! Set up home cinema.

Pros
  • Speakerphone
Cons
  • I'm worried

Works great, goes without saying

These are the inexpensive splitters from the supermarket or drugstore. It's a little clunky, but it works well. (I grew up in a world of polarized outlets and those X-shaped three-prong adapters, so I still remember my sense of surprise and delight when I saw my first power strip, with its simple design and old-fashioned metal body, I'm no longer surprised when I see a power strip - it's been over 40 years - but I still appreciate a good, simple piece of industrial design.)

Pros
  • Robust workmanship
Cons
  • Can cause damage

I bought this to provide outlets for my microwave, toaster and kettle. It keeps turning off even if only one of them is connected. He didn't start dealing with it all the time until the window closed where I could bring him back. I am very disappointed and beyond the purchase price.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • old
