Recommended for card readers

Probably the best choice for our application. The card locking mechanism is very well made and the USB 3.0 transfer speed is very good. The price is a bit high, but for our application, it's worth it.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • The list is long.

great unit. very fast data transfer and form.

excellent device. very fast data transfer and fantastic form factor. Our cameras use a variety of memory types and this device makes it easy to read them all in a very small, travel-friendly package.

Pros
  • normal price
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

Surprisingly good for memory cards Accessories

I've used multiple USB 3.0 SD and MicroSD readers. that's the first thing that works properly. It's not the smallest, but it's not bad. Not the strongest, but not bad. It holds the card well, the USB connector makes for a solid connection and doesn't limit the performance of my fast SD cards. This is important.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Good product, too bad it isn't advertised too.

This is a good SD card reader. Works well for the stated purposes except for one thing. SDIO not. If the seller had been honest he probably wouldn't have bought it (there's already a good USB 3.0 reader out there) or that it does SDIO, that's five stars. I do not reward intentional deception (it is advertised as support EVERYWHERE.).

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

recommend it without problems and FAST

I was a bit wary before buying but I had no problems. And it's FAST. It's actually faster to plug it into a USB port on my Surface Pro than to use the 64GB micro USB that I plugged directly into the Surface Pro. The difference, of course, is that it sticks out on the side and you have to detach it when you put the computer away. But you should still do this with any flash drive. I definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • I will write later

Great adapter but a little slow with write speeds

This adapter did exactly what it was supposed to do. However, the write speed is still a bit slower than expected. I hooked this up to a 90MB/s SDXC card and to a USB3 port, but the top speed was only around 10MB/s. Definitely not a deal breaker as this adapter was cheap and only used on request.

Pros
  • No software, drivers or external power required
Cons
  • Something different

Incredibly fast file transfer from an SDXC card - USB 3.0

This device supports an SD card for easy file transfer back and forth via a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port. It features a nifty spring-loaded holder that fully retracts an SD/SDXC card, allowing it to be stored there indefinitely and then used as a USB flash drive. If you are frustrated by the lack of reliable USB 3.0 capable flash drives, consider using one with the SDXC card described below. The speed/cost/performance ratio is amazing. I tested file transfer speed by moving 30GB of files and folders

Pros
  • Backwards compatible with previous USB generations
Cons
  • Quick start guide
