Durable like a nail! Very well built, but NOT an entirely pure sine wave!

I installed one of these on my 18 wheel and am very happy with it. I use it to charge my batteries when I'm at a 'reliable' station and at home, and it provides 120 volt power when not plugged into an outlet. The constant 120v power supply in my truck is awesome and I also use a couple of ham radios (HF and VHF) from this thing. While it's not a totally pure sine wave, none of my radios on any band have NO birding or noise issues so that's great, but it's definitely NOT a pure sine wave. I have

Third Hit on Tools & Equipment

Three devices in 11 years - three catastrophic failures, the last of which in just over two years. everything was the same, the device just turns off completely and you can reset until your knees and fingers are completely numb. for the van market but more importantly they need to understand how literally painful it is to get one of these things to and from most campers - I really don't think they really understand that if they did , the quality would have been much better. We've gotten smarter

Pros
  • Increased peak power handles large connected loads
Cons
  • Defective

The product worked for a month and then stopped. I sent it back under warranty like our first inverter and when we got it back it worked for 5 days before it failed. This is the second new aps2012 inverter we have bought in a year and now according to their rep we have to throw it away and buy another useless tripp lite inverter/charger. The first one died twice so we bought this one. Used to be a good product. The company takes no responsibility for its product. We use an inverter every day so

Pros
  • Automatic transfer option for emergency power (UPS)
Cons
  • I will add it later

Good value for money! c Tools and Equipment

I bought the first device in August 2011, it came quickly. Easy connection. I have a bank of 8-6 volt golf cart batteries. This device worked flawlessly for 3 months and then just stopped. Triplite's customer support was great and after some troubleshooting I returned the device. Shipping cost $56. They immediately sent me a replacement. I immediately bought another unit from Revain when this one broke down (shipped 2 days, I have 2 now) and the second one worked perfectly again for 4 months. I

Pros
  • Wired AC In/Out; Housing made of durable moisture-proof polycarbonate

Good choice for an expandable UPS system

When I added two new servers to my server rack I was faced with a choice: add a new fixed power UPS to the new servers or replace mine old inadequate UPS system with something more powerful and expandable. I purchased a Tripp Lite APS750 750W 12V DC/AC Converter with 20A Line to Battery Auto Charger for use in my RV in 2010 and was very pleased with its quality and performance so I decided to use his to buy bigger brother. APS2012 2000W inverter for my server room. Together with the APS2012…

  • 1 year warranty
