This item is definitely loud but could be easier to use. The loop used to attach to each keychain is too thick. This makes it almost impossible to simply put on or take off a key fob. Very Loud. However, I bought it to use as a camp perimeter alarm and unfortunately it doesn't work for me. When I mount it between the tent poles, it takes too much force to loosen the alarm connector. It is not sensitive enough when using a cord back. I'm guessing it takes 5 pounds of pulling to loosen the end cap. The trip line was stretched too far and the tent pegs broke out of the ground and the alarm didn't work. I cannot confirm the effectiveness of this device in relation to personal safety/emergencies as I fortunately did not have to test this device in this one Quality.
