Rotated 90 degrees and leaking when mounted on diaphragm. For $35 you can get a standard membrane cap and restore the original. I go this way. DO NOT BUY THIS.

but with my MacGyver skills I was able to get a longer fuel line and turn it sideways so the "switch" is facing forward, otherwise it's a quality block that works well so 3 stars and 1/2 large thumbs up

This is the second one I bought because the first leaked. This device is cheap. If you use it to turn the fuel supply on and off as intended, the seal will fail quickly and the leak will then start.

My fuel hose goes in the back right hand side assuming you're looking at the faucet with the tank built in and there's a small vacuum hose on the back and left. Unfortunately, I found out about this a few months after purchase as I was in no hurry.

I purchased this item and the description says it is for 2004-2006 Shadow Aero. The image shown is not correct even for the 2004 model. - 2006, although I didn't know it at the time of purchase. I don't want to scold the seller as it was shipped quickly so this time I'm giving it three stars. I just want the seller to update their product description.

Total waste of money. Doesn't work at all. The worst thing is that I got stuck on it as I didn't use it in time to come back. This is supposed to be a direct replacement but I had to modify the chrome rocker cover trim to fit. So I just cut the trunk lid trim for nothing. Strongly do not recommend buying if you don't want to waste your time and money.
