My son is tall, skinny, 5 years old (wears size 6-7 in shirts and 6 in pants just for length) and we were looking for longer swim trunks for him and these were perfect (and great price!) We ordered it in size 5-6. They are huge! We have 3T and 5T - 3T was huge for my (tall, skinny) 5 year old, my (stocky, average) 2.5 year old just couldn't stop laughing while they tried on 3T because they were so funny. The sizing is gigantic in both width and length - each leg fits an entire child and still has room, and the length is more like a pair of shorts than a shorts/bathing suit.
