I have recently started swimming regularly and was concerned that the chemicals in the pool water might damage my skin. Love the new charcoal cleaner! My face feels very good after using it. I use it at night when I'm not in a hurry because I like to leave it on for a few minutes to get the full effect. I use charcoal based products so the charcoal color didn't surprise me but because of the color I use a paper towel (made from bamboo and cane) to wash it off rather than the bamboo baby washcloths I use for my face. I am very happy with this purchase! I already have a vitamin C cleanser and use it twice a day. Now I use it once in the morning and use this charcoal purifier in the evening. It's beautiful and I love that you can see it changing from black to light gray. It smells a bit like black liquorice, but I'm used to it. I can't say enough about this cleaner. After the first application, my skin felt fresher and softer than even. And with each additional use, it only gets better. I'll admit it took me a little courage to smear this black goo all over my face the first time, but then like any other cleanser it lathers and rinses clean. It didn't even stain my washcloth.
