I bought these for my son who is a point guard in high school. He often drives down the alley and has pretty bad bruises from it. He wore them for his last game and was glad he wasn't injured when he landed. At the moment it is 4 stars. If they delay I will update and buy more pairs!

Looked much better on model haha I'm 6ft 3" and 160lbs. I hope these pants look good while skating, unfortunately I don't think I can wear them in public, they are probably 4 inches above my knee and it shows it all! I kept walking and holding them hoping that maybe one day I would wear them, but a man can hardly dream. Also, it's a lot thicker than I thought it would be, almost like a wetsuit material. It looks like it's going to be very hot.

After much research I chose these shorts to protect my new bionic thighs from accidental falls when walking on snow and ice. I love her! The fit is snug but comfortable and works under briefs, the padding (unlike others I've tried) is not bulky and well positioned for my needs, covering the points of my pelvis and extending over the outside of my thigh bone so I feel a lot more confident about resuming outdoor activities in winter. I bought 4 pairs for the whole family and now we use them to protect skates. My wife and I have survived a few good accidents so far, I'm on my hip avoiding a runaway baby and my wife has fallen on her back. These shorts provide ample protection for the sides of the thigh and thighs and also have a lumbar pad. I have to say that falling on your side is not that bad. My wife had sloughed her tailbone quite badly and these shorts offered no obvious protection (she stayed pretty lame for a week)…

I am a skier, monoskier and snowboarder. I needed soft drawstring shorts and found the only ones that had this feature. I hate that soft shorts can slide down so easily so the drawstring is the key feature. I got them in the mail today and tried them on.
